So, after attending Bobbi Lane's Flash Class Workshop, I am totally inspired to try to use gels on my speedlights. But, I don't want to ruin my filters every time with tape. So, I decided to make a filter holder for my speedlight. I first obtained a Rosco Swatchbook of gels, carefully pulled out the pin holding it together. I then replaced it with metal hoop (JoAnne's embroridery section), that can be opened and closed any time I want to remove or replace the filter. Then, I got some badge holders from Staples, and cut them on the top and folded them in a way they would just slip into my speedlight. No tape or velcro needed. Volia... I now have a reusable filter/gel holder for very little cost.

My son is so into Wall-E these days that the movie has surpassed Cars, and now is classified as his favorite. So, he got out his legos and made a robot. He is so proud of it, I'm supposed to put it high on a shelf out of reach of his little sister, so that in his words "she won't mess it up!", I figured since he liked it that much, I'd make it my POTD. So this one is for Kyle!

I had the chance to take a Bobbi Lane workshop - Flash Class II. It was great, but now I'm hooked and want to take more workshop and classes with her!

Was asked at last moment to make a dessert for a funeral reception. Didn't know what to make, but I had all the ingredients for a cake, so I whipped up a quick cross cake. Not my best work, but I guess it could look a lot worse.

Ghost Camera...
Decided to play with my camera and check out the multiple exposures option. I got this awesome SOOC image of my bf and her camera. Just a note... you could probably achieve something like this in Photoshop, but you don't get the instant wow factor, like you do, when you do it in the camera.

Didn't take many photos today, so when we were out to dinner at a local restaurant, I caught this ferocious bear on the attack. We were lucky to escape with our leftovers alive! :)

So, coming home from my birthday lunch with some friends, we pull behind this car with this license plate. I just had to take a pic, and knew that this was my picture of the day. Because, even though I am Jenn K. now, and have been happily for the last 11 years since my wedding. I was born Jenn M. and always will be Jenn M. I thought it was so fitting that I saw this on my birthday of all days.

Trusty p&s camera in local shopping center parking lot. Driving home, saw a bunch of seagulls, had to pull over, roll down the window and fire off a couple of shots.

Waiting for my son to get out of school, I saw the water just pouring out of the gutter and splashing. Had to get me my pic of the day. I used my Canon SD-400 P&S Camera for this.

So, I did a photo shoot of my best friend and her fiance today, for their wedding save the date cards. I would love to post some, but I haven't asked for permission, so I am going to put one up that I love from the shoot, but it shouldn't violate her privacy.

So, no new photos today from my camera... But, it was a photo day, because I played with some photos on the computer . One of the images I played with was one that my hubby took of me at one of the recent hockey games and I gave myself smoother complexion and did the easiest diets of my life and lost a few pounds in my face alone. LoL!

This was our exciting adventure to McDonald's. While we were eating and the kids were playing in the playplace, the fire alarm went off. It turned out to be a false alarm, but the kids sure loved seeing all the different fire trucks.
